It’s Only Kidding Around

These days it seems like there are simulation games for just about everything and gamers are able to pilot their own planes, drive trains or tractors and spend life on the farm. It is even possible to manipulate a piece of bread around a house as it strives to become bread. But being a goat, you’ve got to be kidding, right? Find out if Goat Simulator is bleating good fun or simply another gimmick.

If you have ever wondered what it might be like to wander around town as a goat and generally wreak havoc, playing Goat Simulator is the perfect way to find out. At first glance the game seems rather basic, which is largely due to its unpolished nature. However, it quickly becomes obvious that this has been done on purpose rather than being an oversight and helps to add to the game’s sense of humour.

Comedy is one thing that Goat Simulator has in spades. The action takes place in a peaceful small town. The peace and quiet doesn’t last for long however, as the troublesome goat is set to cause as much mischief as possible. The goat is gifted with an impossibly long and stretchy tongue, which can be used to snag passersby.

Players score points by breaking things, and it seems like almost everything in this game is just waiting to be broken. The game plays out as a long sequence of weird and wacky events. There is no real story to speak off, which allows players to abandon all strategy and simply have a smashing good time. Some of the things that are just waiting to be enjoyed include climbing to the top of a crane, hurling people to the ground and using those deadly hooves to smash everything in sight.

Surprises wait around almost every corner and players never quite know what they will be faced with next. This really keeps players on their toes, or in this case hooves. As if the game wasn’t fun enough to begin with, the goat gets its very own jetpack. Of course, this adds to the hilarious fun of the game and provides players with even more to do.

The slow motion effect helps to add to the fun of the game and players can use the effect to make the goat drift to the ground after leaping from high perches. The game comes complete with a varied assortment of goat noises that are triggered after performing different movements.

Exploring the map is a great way to discover new elements to the game. There are lots of collectibles to find and many of these items allow the goat to take on different abilities for a certain period of time. there are lots of different challenges and tasks to performed along the way and these tasks are as random and entertaining as the game itself. if you are lucky, you may find your way into a secret goat kingdom where you will be able to party with your hairy pals and plan your campaign of doom and destruction before rolling a Giant Death Boulder onto a barbecue party far below your cliff top.

There is no denying that Goat Simulator is a game that fails to take itself seriously. But in this case that is actually a very good thing and there are plenty of laughs to be had here. The game is packed with a detailed setting and enough elements to keep gamers occupied for hours.

Goat Simulator is one of the strangest games you'll ever play but one that puts you in complete control over your very own goat.

Other simulation games let you play as a bus driver or the owner of a movie theater, but this is one of the only games in the world that will let you play as an actual goat. This is a type of sandbox game, which means that it comes with a large world that you can explore over time. While it can take you some time to learn how to control your goat and how to perform tricks, you'll eventually earn more points and develop better skills.

The game awards you points for almost everything you do in its virtual world. You can make your goat walk into an office building and get points for all the paper it eats and objects it destroys. You can then head outside and score points and combos for making your goat do flips across a street or butting into a person walking down that street. The game lets you explore both interior and exterior areas of its map.

Goat Simulator doesn't come with traditional missions, but it does let you score points in a number of ways. You get points every time that your goat bleats loud enough that it scares others and makes them run away, but you also get points for butting against people and other goats that get in your way. If you want to score even more points, you'll love that your goat can actually break into homes and other buildings to destroy personal property.

The game also includes some special tasks that will get you points. Flying for 10 seconds or more, breaking 20 objects and doing other things help you boost your score. As you keep moving and exploring, you'll find hidden worlds in the game that let you play mini games or even see the game's developers.

As with other independent games, Goat Simulator features some bugs that will interfere with your game play. It also lacks the larger worlds and standard missions found in other simulation games. As there aren't a lot of things to do in the game, frequent gamers will find it boring. While Goat Simulator isn't the type of game that you'll want to play every day, it's a fun way to waste a few hours.
